Eagle Marine 360° SurroundView: Dock like a pro
Say goodbye to navigating blindly when docking in tight harbors or locks. The Eagle Marine 360° SurroundView camera system brings technology known from modern premium cars, perfectly adapted for your boat. The system creates a virtual bird's-eye view (top-down view) of your yacht and transmits it in real-time to your helm's display.
How does the 360-degree bird's-eye view work?
The core of the system consists of six wide-angle cameras strategically mounted on the hull or superstructure (bow, stern, port, and starboard). An intelligent control unit (ECU) combines the four separate video streams into a single, seamless 360-degree overall image. The result is a crystal-clear overhead view of your boat and its immediate surroundings. Obstacles, jetties, neighboring boats, and piles become immediately visible.
Maximum safety without blind spots
Whether reversing into a slip, navigating through narrow waterways, or docking in strong crosswinds – the SurroundView system takes away the stress. Blind spots are a thing of the past. You can precisely estimate the distance to obstacles on the screen and thus effectively avoid expensive scratches or collisions.
Key features at a glance:
- 360° Bird's-Eye View: Seamless real-time all-round view from a top-down perspective.
- Eliminates blind spots: Perfect overview of distances to jetties and other boats.
- High-resolution cameras: Four robust wide-angle marine cameras for a razor-sharp image.
- Plotter integration: Display directly on your compatible multifunction display at the helm.
- Stress-free maneuvering: Significantly facilitates docking in tight slips, locks, and with crosswinds.
Scope of delivery
For the installation partner to professionally carry out the installation and calibration on board, the system includes all necessary main components:
- 6x Eagle Marine wide-angle cameras (bow, stern, port, starboard)
- 1x Main control unit (ECU - Electronic Control Unit) for image processing
- 4x Extension and connection cables for the cameras
- 1x Video output cable (for connection to the chartplotter)
- Complete mounting material for cameras and control unit
- Installation and calibration documentation (for professional installation)
Important note on installation and configuration
The Eagle Marine 360° camera system is a highly complex optical assistance system. For the camera images to merge into a perfect, undistorted bird's-eye view, precise calibration is essential. In addition, the connected chartplotter must be specifically programmed for the correct display of the video streams.
We therefore explicitly point out that installation, cabling, and calibration cannot be carried out by yourself. Installation must be carried out exclusively by an authorized and trained installation partner. Only professional installation ensures that the system functions smoothly and that you can rely 100% on the displays on the water.
