The Calypso Portable Solar Ultrasonic Anemometer (item number VA-M79158) represents the next generation of maritime wind measurement. This compact and versatile instrument is ideal for use on sailing yachts. Completely Wireless and Self-Sufficient
Elaborate cable routing in the mast is a thing of the past. An integrated, powerful solar cell makes the system completely self-sufficient. When fully charged, the internal battery provides an operating time of up to 29 days in continuous operation in absolute darkness. In sleep mode, the charge even lasts for over a year. Measurement data is transmitted wirelessly and reliably via Bluetooth.
User-friendliness and Smart Data Integration
Commissioning is incredibly simple: The sensor can be connected directly to an Atlas 2 display via the Vakaros app.
Via the free "AnemoTracker" app (available for Android and iOS), parameters such as apparent and true wind can be read, threshold alarms configured, and wind data recorded and exported.
Thanks to the open protocol, the Calypso Portable Solar is also compatible with a variety of other navigation, ballistics, and weather apps. For seamless integration into an existing NMEA2000 onboard network, the system can optionally be extended with a corresponding gateway.
Note: The scope of delivery includes the wind sensor. Suitable mounting accessories, such as a mast mount, are available separately.
