The TBS DC Modular Remote Battery Switch (RBS) is the intelligent, remotely controllable main battery switch for demanding marine and off-grid applications. This robust magnetic latch relay reliably switches continuous currents of up to 500A and handles peak currents of up to 1600A.
Its greatest advantage: The relay draws extremely little current (< ) in the ON or OFF state, as its magnetic latch means it does not constantly have to power a coil. This significantly reduces the quiescent current consumption of your battery.
The RBS can be conveniently remotely controlled (e.g., by an external switch or a battery monitoring system) or directly via the integrated buttons. It is compatible with 12V, 24V, and 48V systems (up to ) and offers integrated protection functions against overtemperature and critical voltages. Thanks to ISO 8846 ignition protection, it is safe for engine compartments.
The footprint of the RBS is about 50% smaller compared to some competitor products, making it perfect for installations with limited space.
