GPS 24xd NMEA 2000

GPS 24xd NMEA 2000

The Garmin GPS 24xd (NMEA 2000)is an extremely precise multiband GPS antenna with an integrated heading sensor. It takes your plotter's navigation accuracy to a whole new level.

  • Centimeter accuracy:Multiband GNSS technology delivers position data with an accuracy of less than 1 meter (often up to approx. 50 cm).
  • Integrated compass:The magnetic heading sensor (accuracy +/- 3 degrees) stabilizes radar overlays and nautical charts even at slow speeds.
  • Four satellite systems:Utilizes GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and BeiDou for maximum reception worldwide.
  • 10 Hz refresh rate:Lightning-fast updates of position and speed (10 times per second) for an absolutely smooth display on the plotter.
  • Easy networking:Plug-and-play integration into your existing NMEA 2000 network.

Pinpoint navigation – Rely on absolute precision

Whether you are heading for a narrow harbor entrance, want to anchor precisely over a wreck, or use the autopilot in rough seas: Reliable position determination is crucial on the water. The Garmin GPS 24xd NMEA 2000 antenna equips your boat with the most modern reception technology available and closes the gaps of conventional GPS receivers.

Multiband GNSS: Accuracy within one meter Conventional marine antennas often use only a single frequency. The GPS 24xd is a multiband receiver. This actively corrects runtime errors caused by atmospheric disturbances. The result: Your position on the plotter is displayed with an accuracy of less than one meter – and even up to 50 centimeters under optimal conditions.

More than just GPS: The integrated heading sensor A huge advantage of this antenna is the built-in magnetic compass (heading sensor). Do you know the problem that your electronic chart is constantly nervously rotating when stationary or moving very slowly? The 24xd's sensor provides a reliable heading (accuracy 3 degrees). It stabilizes the chart, enables clean radar overlays (MARPA), and ensures that your boat symbol on the plotter always points in the actual direction of travel.

Robust, fast, and immediately networked Thanks to the 10 Hz rate, the antenna updates your position 10 times per second. Jerky boat symbols on the display are thus a thing of the past. Installation is extremely simple: The completely waterproof housing defies all weather conditions and is plugged directly into your NMEA 2000 network (backbone) via the supplied cable.

Main advantages at a glance:

  • Worldwide reception: Accesses four global satellite systems (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou).
  • Reliable in every situation: Excellent reception even under difficult conditions (e.g. under bridges or in deep fjords).
  • NMEA 2000: Seamless communication with Garmin plotters, instruments, and autopilots.
