Dual Sensor Technology: The Best of Both Worlds
The IRIS ATOM295 sets new standards in maritime safety. This camera combines two powerful image sensors in a single, controllable PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) housing. You no longer have to choose between a daylight and a night vision camera – the ATOM295 offers you both simultaneously. Thanks to dual IP addresses, the video streams from both camera modules can be configured independently and displayed simultaneously on your multifunction display (MFD).
High-Definition by Day, Thermal Imaging by Night
- Visible Spectrum (Day): The daylight module features a high-resolution 2-megapixel sensor for crystal-clear 1080p images. Thanks to the 10x optical zoom, you can bring distant targets, buoys, or harbor entrances into detailed view on your screen.
- Thermal Spectrum (Night & Fog): As soon as visibility decreases, the powerful thermal imaging core (384x288 resolution) unleashes its full potential. It makes even the slightest temperature differences visible and reliably displays ships, debris, or people in the water ("man overboard") – even in absolute darkness, dense fog, or heavy rain. The thermal sensor's 4x digital zoom provides even more detail.
Full Mobility for Seamless Surveillance
As a true PTZ camera, the ATOM295 can be precisely panned and tilted, eliminating blind spots. Control is convenient via compatible chart plotters, a PC (NVR), or CCTV joystick controllers (via RS485/Pelco-D protocol).
Ultralight, Robust, and Network-Friendly
Despite the sophisticated dual-sensor technology, the camera boasts an extremely compact form factor: it is only about 20.6 cm high, measures 16 cm in diameter, and weighs just 2 kg. The waterproof and weather-resistant housing (IP66) reliably protects the sensitive electronics from the harsh marine environment.
Thanks to state-of-the-art IP network technology, integration into your existing onboard system is straightforward. It is compatible with leading systems, supported by IRIS CMAC camera management interfaces if required.
Typical Applications:
- Navigation and collision avoidance at night and in poor visibility
- Search & Rescue ("man overboard" scenarios)
- Harbor maneuvers and docking
- Security and surveillance for yachts and workboats
