Garmin Signal™ RM 100: The perfect second station for your marine radio

The Garmin Signal™ RM 100 expands the capabilities of your Garmin Signal VHF 400 or VHF 220 with a fully-fledged, permanently installed remote control station. If you have a yacht with a flybridge, an external helm, or a separate helm, the RM 100 is the ideal solution to maintain full control of your communication system anywhere on board – without having to install a completely new, autonomous radio with its own VHF antenna.

How to expand the VHF 400 and VHF 220

Integrating the RM 100 is incredibly simple thanks to modern Garmin network technology. Instead of thick, inflexible analog cables or interference-prone radio connections, Garmin uses the fast, proprietary Garmin BlueNet™ network for this expansion. You simply connect the RM 100 station to your main unit (VHF 220 or VHF 400) via the included 6-meter BlueNet cable. Once the stations are networked, the RM 100 functions as a "smart display" for your main radio. From the flybridge, you have immediate full access to all VHF channels, can send DSC distress calls, receive weather alerts, and view AIS target data. Depending on the main unit, you can expand the system with up to five of these RM 100 stations!

Intercom function: Smooth communication on board

A major advantage of the combination of the main unit (VHF 220/400) and the RM 100 expansion is the integrated intercom function. You use the stations not only to communicate with other vessels but also to seamlessly communicate with the crew at the other helms. This makes coordination during harbor maneuvers or navigation in heavy seas significantly safer and more relaxed – without shouting.

Identical design and intuitive operation

To ensure your helm presents a seamless appearance, the RM 100 is optically and haptically precisely matched to the main units. It features the same high-resolution, sunlight-readable 3.5-inch IPS color touchscreen with elegant edge-to-edge glass. Since the menu navigation is absolutely identical to the VHF 220 or VHF 400, you don't have to re-learn anything. Another advantage: The installation depth of the RM 100 is only 29 millimeters, which makes installation extremely flexible.

Hand microphone with noise cancellation included

An ergonomic hand microphone (Fist Mic) is already included in the delivery. Like the handset of the main unit, it offers adaptive noise cancellation, which reliably filters out annoying ambient noise. No matter how loud the wind whistles or the engines run, your commands and radio calls will be crystal clear.
