Total Energy Control in Every Corner of Your Vessel
The Vanemar Gateway already monitors your main battery bank. But what about the engine's starter battery? Or the batteries for the bow thruster and anchor windlass right at the bow? With the Vanemar Marine Battery Sensor, you close this monitoring gap.
Wireless Voltage Monitoring This sensor simply connects to the terminals of any 12V or 24V battery. It precisely measures the voltage and transmits the data wirelessly to your Vanemar Gateway. In the app, you can see the current voltage as well as the historical trend. Detect faulty batteries or charging problems before you try to start the engine.
The "Range Extender" for Your Smart Boat An ingenious additional feature: Since this sensor is permanently powered (directly from the battery), it actively acts as a repeater for your Vanemar ZigBee network. Do you have connection problems with a door sensor in the bow or a bilge sensor in the deep engine room? Strategically place the Battery Sensor in between (e.g., on the bow thruster battery), and it will amplify the signal for all other nearby sensors. This way, you can build a stable mesh network on large yachts.
Application Scenarios:
- Starter Battery: Ensure the engine is ready to start at any time.
- Bow Thruster: Monitor the often neglected batteries in the bow (+ signal amplification for sensors located there).
- Generator: Control the generator's starter battery.
- Tender/Dinghy: If the tender has a battery and is within range on deck.
Technical Specifications
- Function: Voltage monitoring (Volts) and ZigBee signal amplifier (repeater)
- Voltage Range: Compatible with 12V and 24V systems
- Power Supply: Directly via the connected battery (no internal batteries to change)
- Connectivity: Wireless via ZigBee 3.0 (to the Vanemar Gateway)
- Wiring: Ring terminals for easy connection to battery posts
- Dimensions: Compact, robust housing
- Installation: Plug & Play (after connection to battery)
Scope of Delivery:
- 1x Vanemar Marine Battery Sensor (with connection cables)
- Installation instructions
⚠️ Note:
- This sensor only measures voltage (Volts), not current flow (Amperes/consumption). For detailed consumption measurements, you need a shunt (usually integrated via NMEA 2000).
- A Vanemar Gateway and an active subscription are required for use.
