Every second counts in a boat fire. Materials like fiberglass and wood allow fire to spread rapidly. The Vanemar Smart Smoke Sensor gives you a crucial head start – whether you're sleeping on board or hundreds of miles away.
Why a "smart" smoke detector? A conventional smoke detector is useless if no one is on board to hear it. The Vanemar smoke detector is integrated into your security system. As soon as it detects smoke:
- An 85dB loud siren sounds on board to immediately wake sleeping crew members.
- The system simultaneously sends an emergency alarm to your mobile phone (and to other contacts, if configured).
This way, you can immediately alert the harbor master or fire department, even if you are not at the boat.
Precise technology against false alarms The detector uses advanced photoelectric technology. This is particularly effective in detecting smoldering fires that produce a lot of smoke before open flames appear (e.g., overheated cables, chargers, or upholstery fires). At the same time, this technology is less prone to false alarms from cooking fumes than simple ionization detectors.
Installation without a toolbox Security doesn't have to be complicated. The compact sensor is powered by a powerful battery and communicates wirelessly via ZigBee with your Vanemar Gateway. Simply stick or screw it to the ceiling – done.

⚠️ Important notes:
- A Vanemar Gateway is required to use the app alert. (Without a gateway, the device functions as a conventional smoke detector with a siren).
- Remote monitoring requires an active subscription.
- This sensor detects smoke. For gases (propane/butane) or carbon monoxide (CO), you will need separate sensors from the Vanemar range.
