Water belongs under the hull, not inside it. However, leaky seacocks, defective hoses, or a failing stuffing box can quickly lead to the bilge filling up. If you are not on board, you often don't notice until it's too late. The Vanemar Bilge High Water Sensor changes that.
The "Second Man" in the Bilge Most boats have an automatic bilge pump. But what if the battery is dead, the float switch is stuck, or the water rises faster than the pump can handle? The Vanemar sensor acts as an independent warning system. As soon as the water level reaches the sensor, you receive an immediate critical warning on your smartphone. This gives you valuable time to go to the boat or alert the harbor master.
Flexible Applications Thanks to its clever design, the sensor can be used in many ways. It consists of a transmitter unit and a probe on a cable.
- In the bilge: Mount the probe slightly above the normal water level.
- Under equipment: Place it under the washing machine, water heater, or watermaker to immediately detect internal leaks.
- In the engine compartment: Monitor the area under the shaft seal (stuffing box) or the saildrive gaiter.
Installation in Minutes Forget about elaborate cable routing through the entire hull. The sensor communicates wirelessly (ZigBee) with your Vanemar Gateway. You simply attach the transmitter unit to a dry place (e.g., on the hull) and guide the small probe down into the bilge.
